The Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA), a division of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical trade body, has issued notices against a number of drugmakers for breaking the code of practice.
Leo Pharma, AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo have been named for “bringing discredit upon, and reducing confidence in, the pharmaceutical industry.”
The infractions relate to a number of products and typically concern marketing activities which were deemed to be not in compliance with the code established by The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).
The case reports are available at www.pmcpa.org.uk.
