BRIEF—Sumitomo Dainippon appoints new chief executive

Sumitomo Dainippon has appointed Hiroshi Nomura, currently executive vice president, as the firm’s new president and chief executive, effective from 1 April 2018.

Mr Nomura is replacing Masayo Tada, who will take up the position of chairman.

Mr Nomura joined the firm in 2003, becoming senior director of finance & accounting in 2005, and taking up successive roles of increasing seniority thereafter.
