BRIEF—Hungarian drugmakers urge a sustainable system of pharma financing

In October last year, the Hungarian government’s health department decided about the inclusion of new innovative medicines, and their indications, into social security subsidy.

The Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) welcomed this inclusion decision, which concerns the largest number of medicines considering the last few years.

In order to ensure that Hungarian patients will not have to wait so long for the inclusion of new medicinal products in the future, the AIPM has drafted professional proposals that have been presented by Dr Péter Vereckei to the AIPM journal.
