BRIEF -- Collaboration between China and US FDAs on drug supervision

Recently, the China Food and Drug Administration's International Cooperation Bureau in conjunction with the Center for Drug Evaluation, Verification Center and other units' principal responsible persons met with visiting US FDA Representatives, Office of International Programs (OIP).

The two sides held a special discussion on the cooperation intention and cooperation plan in the field of drug supervision between China and the USA.

The two sides agreed that in recent years, China and the USA food and drug regulatory departments on the basis of the cooperation documents("on drugs, medical devices security agreement" and "on the implementation schedule about regulators related cooperation mechanisms") carried out fruitful cooperation.

The two sides agreed that the future will continue to deepen in the aspects of drug approval and drug inspection pragmatic exchanges and cooperation, promote the establishment of modern drug approval system and inspection system, and open a new chapter of the drug regulatory cooperation.
