Japan’s Astellas has made a number of senior leadership changes in its medical and development (M&D) division, including the appointment of Juan Maya as vice president of medical science for the medical specialties therapeutic area.
The firm also made three senior-level promotions, appointing Erkut Bahceci as VP of medical science for hematology, Leticia Delgado-Herrera as VP of Rx and M&D head, and Wendi Lau as VP of operational improvement and reporting excellence.
Chief medical officer Bernhardt Zeiher said: “Each one of these key leadership positions has a vital role in the success of the M&D organization. These leaders bring their tremendous expertise, diverse experience and dedication to their new roles.”
