Amgen and Kyowa Kirin announce rocatinlimab Phase III success

10 March 2025

US biotech Amgen (Nasdaq: AMGN) and Japanese partner Kyowa Kirin (TYO: 4151) announced new results from the ongoing ROCKET Phase III clinical trial program evaluating rocatinlimab, an investigational T-cell rebalancing therapy targeting the OX40 receptor, in moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD).

The data were presented at the 2025 American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting over the weekend.

Amgen acquired rights to the drug for $400 million upfront and the promise of milestones worth up to $850 million, in June 2021. The initial antibody was discovered in a collaboration between Kyowa Kirin and the USA’s La Jolla Institute for Immunology.
