Wyeth to move ahead with Ligand osteoporosis drug
Wyeth-Ayerst has agreed to proceed with the development of LigandPharmaceuticals' selective estrogen receptor modulator TSE-424 for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. This development has resulted in an undisclosed milestone payment by Wyeth to Ligand. Wyeth expects to start Phase III trials of TSE-424 during the first half of 2001.
