Warner-Lambert has been awarded marketing approval for Omnicef(cefdinir), its third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, in capsule and powder forms. The company is highlighting the product's once-daily dosing for most uses, broad indications and availability of a pediatric formulation as it mounts a bid in the fiercely-competitive cephalosporin and antibiotic market. A launch is scheduled for 1998.
