Shares of Dutch gene therapy company uniQure (Nasdaq: QURE) were up more than 50% at $5.68, after the company released positive early clinical results for its Huntington’s disease candidate.
The company announced updated interim data including up to 24 months of follow-up data from 29 treated patients enrolled in the ongoing US and European Phase I/II clinical trials of AMT-130 for the treatment of Huntington’s disease.
“We are very pleased with these new data demonstrating a statistically significant, dose-dependent slowing of the progression of Huntington’s disease and lowering of NfL in the CSF at 24 months,” stated uniQure’s chief medical officer Dr Walid Abi-Saab.
