The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization, which advises the UK government, has recommended a mass vaccination of children in England and Wales against chickenpox. One option being considered, according to the public service broadcaster, the BBC, would be to combine the vaccine with the already controversial measles, mumps and rubella combination jab. The Department of Health has "drafted in" experts to consider the JCVI proposals, the BBC said.
