Spend more on medicines to fix NHS, says ABPI

Trade group the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has had its say on UK government plans to overhaul the National Health Service (NHS).

The government says it wants to transform the NHS by shifting from hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention. To inform these plans, it has launched a national conversation about the future of the NHS, said Health Secretary Wes Streeting..

As it does so, the ABPI has stressed the vital role medicines and vaccines can play.
