Sebnem Avsar Tuna to lead Novo Nordisk UK

Danish pharma major Novo Nordisk (NOV: N) has announced the appointment of Sebnem Avsar Tuna (pictured, above) as the new general manager (GM) of its UK affiliate.

Dr Avsar Tuna’s career with Novo Nordisk spans more than two decades. A medical doctor and global executive with a wealth of experience in medical, sales, and marketing across multiple regions, she was most recently responsible for managing the company’s operations across South-East Asia, Oceania, India, Pakistan, and Iran in her role as senior vice president of region for Asia Pacific.

Starting her pharmaceutical career as a medical advisor with Santa Farma, a pharmaceutical company based in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1999, Dr Avsar Tuna joined Novo Nordisk in 2000.
