Scale and detail of cuts to US health agencies revealed

There has been talk of the job cuts impacting US health agencies for weeks.

Under President Donald Trump’s new Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), the prominent vaccine sceptic Robert Francis Kennedy (RFK Jr), and with the Elon Musk-advised Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in full flow, work on slashing jobs within the agencies started weeks ago.

This department will do more – a lot more – at a lower cost to the taxpayer
