French drugmaker Sanofi (Euronext: SAN) has revealed the results from the Phase III LUNA 3 trial of rilzabrutinib, an oral bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor, in persistent or chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
The Paris-based company previously disclosed in April of this year that the trial met its primary endpoint of durable platelet response in people with the serious blood disorder who had been refractory to prior treatments, with a median of four prior ITP therapies.
Now Sanofi has unveiled the detailed results in a presentation to the upcoming American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting.
