Russian drugmakers and some foreign producers operating in the country may fix prices for their drugs in Russia, in exchange for signing of long-term contracts with the state, according to Olga Golodets, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister.
According to Ms Golodets, all drug producers - both domestic and foreign - will have an opportunity to sign long-term contracts with the state (with a duration of up to seven years), which involve drug purchases for state needs.
In exchange for this, the government will fix prices on some of their drugs. To date, the government has already fixed prices for some drugs from the list of vital medicines.
