Pharmaceuticals continue to be one of the leading Danish exports, according to the latest export figures from Statistics Denmark.
The Scandinavian country exported pharmaceuticals worth 167.6 billion Danish kroner ($23.55 billion) in 2024, an increase of 8.1 billion Danish kroner compared to 2023.
This shows continued strong development, but there is still some way to go to reach exports of 350 billion Danish kroner, which the new life science strategy has set as a target for 2030—with pharmaceuticals accounting for the majority - according to Lif, Denmark’s life sciences association.
