The government of Ukraine is completing preparations for the de-regulation of the national pharmaceutical market, which involves easing access of Western drug imports to the market.
This is expected to be achieved through the adoption of the new law and other legislative acts in this field, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.
At the same time, according to Ukraine’s Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, the attempts of the government to lobby for the adoption of the law that will ease access of foreign pharmaceutical drugs to the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market without certification are faced with serious opposition and resistance mainly from local drugmakers.
