A couple of trade groups have had their say on the creation of the Health Emergency preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) to make Europe more ready to respond to future pandemics and other threats.
The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and Vaccines Europe (VE) are confident that creating HERA is a first step to putting the continent on the front foot in addressing global health threats.
But they have issued a statement on various issues which they believe require particular attention during planning and implementation of preparedness, as well as response activities by HERA.
