Takeda presents efficacy and cost-effectiveness data on vedolizumab

Japanese pharma company Takeda Pharmaceutical (TYO: 4502) has announced data highlighting the safety and efficacy of vedolizumab in moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

The drug is already marketed for these indications under the trade name Entyvio.

Data presented during the United European Gastroenterology Week annual meeting in Barcelona, Spain, highlights findings from an analysis of the cost-effectiveness of vedolizumab as a treatment for ulcerative colitis compared with conventional therapy.
