A new survey from the Hungarian Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) has revealed increasing rates of health literacy among patients in Hungary.
The study reports that around 84% of patients in Hungary are likely to consult their doctor or pharmacist with questions relating to how to properly take their medicines, though the internet is becoming increasingly popular with 16% of patients turning online with their queries.
Faith in the efficacy of natural therapies is also on the decline. Around three-quarters of patients with serious diseases would turn to innovative medicines that have been discovered, developed and manufactured using modern technologies, while only 27% reported being likely to take homeopathic therapies.
