Stephen Hahn closes in on top FDA job

A US Senate panel has all but confirmed that Stephen Hahn will be the next Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions voted by 18 to 5 in favor of Dr Hahn, who is President Donald Trump’s nomination and is currently chief medical executive of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
