Spectrum shifts focus as US FDA confirms regulatory roadblock
As expected, the US regulator has issued a Complete Response Letter (CRL) to Spectrum Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: SPPI) for its cancer candidate poziotinib.
The decision was widely expected, after the agency’s scientific panel voted against approval in September.
Investors were sanguine about the company’s prospects, with shares remaining buoyant following the announcement.
