A single state body for the control of pricing and the turnover of drugs will soon be established in Ukraine, as part of the ongoing reforms of the country’s pharmaceutical market, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the setting up of the new state body is part of the plans of the Ukrainian government for harmonization of the national legislation in the field of pharmaceuticals with European regulations.
It is planned that the establishment of the new state body will allow for the elimination of a significant part of bureaucratic hurdles, which currently exist in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market and will ease the procedure of license granting, and in particular to importers.
