Sanofi plans significant boost to Indian operations

French drugmaker Sanofi (Euronext: SAN) is reportedly planning a significant investment of over $400 million in its “global capacity center,” in Hyderabad, India.

The new money, around a quarter of which will come in the next year, will be phased over a period of a decade.

Revealing the plans at a conference, executive VP of business operations Madeleine Roach is reported to have said that over the next two years, the expansion will lead to the Hyderabad site increasing its headcount to around 2,600 employees.
