The Russian government is considering providing support to the domestic pharmaceutical producers planning to export their drugs, according to recent statements by Russia’s Prime-Minister Dmitry Medvedev, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.

It is planned that the majority of subsidies will be provided for the conduct of clinical trials of their drugs abroad.

The Russian government hopes to begin the provision of subsidies no later than on September, 1 of the current year. There is a possibility that financial support should be also provided to global drugmakers operating plants in Russia.
