Russian government to create conditions to increase domestic vaccines production

The Russian Ministry of Health has approved the list of vaccines that will be produced in Russia in the coming years, according to recent statements by Veronika Skvortsova, Russia’s Minister of Health, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.

The list includes vaccines for the prevention and treatment of 34 diseases. In addition, there are also plans for the launch of production of immunoglobulin and serum for the treatment of 21 diseases.

The production of new vaccines should be launched at the manufacturing facilities of both domestic enterprises as well as local production facilities operated by global majors. According to the state plans, new production should be launched in the coming months.
