The Russian national Parliament (State Duma) has put forward an initiative to provide financial support to domestic and multinational pharmaceutical producers (operating their plants in Russia), that will freeze the prices for their drugs for the period up to three years.

This has already been confirmed by Andrei Isayev, Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma, according to which all the producers, which are interested in this proposal, should sign an agreement with the Russian government, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.

It is planned that the mechanism of the provision of such support will be designed by the Russian government in the coming months, along with the planned amount of compensation.
