Prices for vital and essential drugs will not be a subject of currency fluctuations, according to recent statements by Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, reports The Pharma Letter’s local corresondent.
The list of vital and essential drugs for 2015, which was submitted for consideration by the Russian government includes 7,500 drugs, including expensive drugs for the treatment of orphan diseases.
According to the Minister, the government will continue to control prices for such drugs, which have increased only 0.3% in 2014, compared to 2013.
