Issues such as immigration, housing and energy are likely to dominate much of the popular debate around the 2019 Australian federal elections.

But Medicines Australia wants healthcare to be a top priority as the parties campaign and as parliament gears up for the Federal Budget.

The pharma trade group has welcomed strong statements being made on health from both major political parties.
