Positive Phase III data for TaiGen Biotech's novel flu med

Taiwanese infectious disease specialist TaiGen Biotechnology has announced positive results from a Phase III trial of TG-1000.

Together with partner Joincare Pharmaceutical, the Taipei-based firm is studying the small molecule for the treatment of influenza.

Preliminary results from the trial show that the median time to alleviation of all influenza symptoms after TG-1000 treatment was shorter than that of the placebo group.
