Positive trial results for Cabometyx combo in prostate cancer

American biotech Exelixis (Nasdaq: EXEL) and French partner Ipsen (Euronext: IPN) have announced detailed results from the Phase III CONTACT-02 trial.

The trial is testing a combination of Cabometyx (cabozantinib) plus atezolizumab - marketed by Roche (ROG: SIX) as Tecentriq - in the treatment of certain people with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).

The positive results were presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology 2024 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium (ASCO GU).
