New figures show that the pharmaceutical industry generates around 200,000 jobs in Spain, 37,000 of them directly.
Spanish trade group Farmaindustria has released the figures during the Farmaforum 2017 conference in Madrid, claiming that they show that the industry is one of the most important to Spain’s economy.
Farmaindustria’s technical affairs director, Emili Esteve, also remarked on statistics showing that almost 50% of employees in the industry are women, as he addressed the congress.
