Pfizer Japan appoints new president

Pfizer has announced the appointment of Akihisa Harada to the role of president of the company’s Japanese operation, effective from December.

Dr Harada has been VP of development and chief scientist at Pfizer Japan, heading up responsibility for drug development in the country. He joined Pfizer as director for clinical research in 1999.

Dr Harada graduated from Kanazawa University, obtaining his MD in 1986. Before joining Pfizer he was Visiting Scientist at the Windeyer Institute, University College London.
