Pfizer announces decision to stay as one

Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) has ended speculation that it is to split by announcing that it will remain as one company.

The US pharma giant believes that keeping its two distinct businesses as separately managed units within Pfizer is the best way to maximize future value creation.

Following an extensive evaluation, the company’s directors and executive leadership team decided that it would not pursue splitting Pfizer Innovative Health and Pfizer Essential Health into two separate publicly traded companies at this time.
