Orion and Bayer's Phase III ARASENS trial meets goal in prostate cancer
The Phase III ARASENS trial investigating the use of the oral androgen receptor inhibitor (ARi) darolutamide in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) has met its primary endpoint.
Darolutamide, trade named Nubeqa, is being developed by Finnish drugmaker Orion Corp (Nasdaq OMX: ORNAV) and Germany’s Bayer (BAYN: DE).
In the ARASENS trial, darolutamide in combination with docetaxel and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) significantly increased overall survival (OS) compared to placebo, docetaxel and ADT.
