Novartis' Maria Soler Nunez named new head of group operations at Lonza

Swiss contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Lonza (SIX: LONN) has announced that its board of directors has appointed Maria Soler Nunez as its new head of group operations.

Dr Soler Nunez, who will replace the retiring Stefan Stoffel when she joins next month, has been with Swiss pharma giant Novartis (NOVN: VX) since 2010.

In her most recent role at the Basel-based firm, she was chief quality officer. Prior positions included head of global manufacturing functions.
