A plea has been made to Liam Fox, the UK’s Secretary of State for International Trade, calling on him to clarify what relationship the UK will have with the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as the government presses on with its plans for Brexit.
Since British voters chose to exit the European Union (EU) in June’s vote, the new Prime Minister Theresa May has spoken repeatedly of her desire to forge ahead with the process, and Dr Fox, an ardent Eurosceptic, has hinted at a departure from the single market in a so-called ‘hard Brexit’.
