More trouble at Exicure as research partners walk away

Nucleic acid therapy specialist Exicure (Nasdaq: XCUR) has been dealt a blow by the termination of collaborations with AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) and Ipsen (Euronext: IPN).

The early-stage biotech company is working on developing nucleic acid therapies targeting ribonucleic acid against validated targets.

The firm has been collaboratively advancing certain discovery programs in hair loss disorders and rare neurodegenerative disorders, with AbbVie and Ipsen, respectively.
