Mixed results from Roche asthma drug study

Roche (ROG: SIX) has published updates on two identical phase III studies of lebrikizumab in people with severe asthma.

The Swiss pharma giant said one study met its primary endpoint by showing lebrikizumab significantly reduced exacerbations in people with severe asthma. The second study, however, did not achieve this primary endpoint and Roche scientists are still working on the data to get a better understanding of the results.

The LAVOLTA I-II studies were identical, double-blind, randomized, multicenter, placebo-controlled studies.
