Mid-Atlantic BioTherapeutics (MABT) has announced a collaboration with Accelero Biostructures to identify novel inhibitors of USP30, a protein linked to neurological disorders and other conditions.
Accelero will use its proprietary ABS-OneStep platform to generate initial drug candidates, while MABT will oversee preclinical testing and further development.
USP30 plays a key role in cellular processes, particularly the removal of damaged mitochondria, opening up possibilities in treating diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
