Chief financial officer of Germany’s Merck KGaA (MRK: DE) Matthias Zachert has been appointed as chief executive of Lanxess.
He asked Merck’s chairman of the executive board Karl-Ludwig Kley and chairman of the family board Frank Stangenberg-Haverkamp to be released early from his duties, which has been agreed.
