Medicines Australia and AMA set out federal election priorities, including PBS and MBS

Ahead of the federal elections due to take place in Australia on .August 21, the research-based drug trade group Medicines Australia and the Australian Medical Association have set out their wish lists for government action, whoever wins.

Medicines Australia chief executive Brendan Shaw yesterday announced the 2010 federal election priorities for the Australian medicines industry, urging all political parties to support three key objectives:

' Provide business certainty for the Australian medicines industry
' Ensure Australian medicines industry innovation remains internationally competitive
' Deliver better access, information and opportunities associated with the PBS listing of medicines.
