Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of the city of Milan, Italy, participated in a hearing before the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament this week to clarify some elements of the relocation process of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) following the exit of the UK from the European Union.

Milan missed out on hosting the EMA after a vote between bloc members ended in a draw with the Dutch city of Amsterdam before EU officials made their final decision by drawing straws.
