A leading British clinical research organization (CRO), Richmond Pharmacology, has published a detailed report criticizing current UK immigration policy and supporting proposals to install a skills-based migration system after Brexit.
Richmond says that: “Clinical research skills are in drastically short supply,” and “the UK’s existing migration system restricts our ability to compete.”
The report finds that the existing visa requirements are too onerous, with a minimum salary requirement and immigration caps preventing CROs from hiring certain skilled workers.
