The Irish Health Minister is to begin discussions with a group of other European countries about joining their bloc for negotiating pharma deals with manufacturers.
BeNeLuxA aims to ensure sustainable access to innovative medicine at affordable cost for patients in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and possibly Ireland too in the future if the discussions are fruitful.
Health Minister Simon Harris has said that joining BeNeLuxA could provide a solution for getting cheaper drugs for its people in the current challenging environment of high pricing of medicines, reports BreakingNews.ie.
