An inquiry has been launched by the House of Lords into a strategy promised to make the UK the best place in the world to invest in life sciences.
The Conservative government last year set out its Industrial Strategy Green Paper which included a series of promises around making the UK the place to be in life sciences.
Economic reasons for such a strategy are evident, as are the potential health benefits of tackling diseases such as cancer and dementia.
