Industry unites to stop falsified medicines in Hungary

All parts of the pharmaceutical industry in Hungary have come together to prevent falsified medicinal products from getting into the supply chain.

Manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacists are among those who have come together to create HUMVO, an acronym translating as the Hungarian Medicine Identification Non-Profit Private Company.

This move seeks to lay the foundations of a new medicine identification system, which aims at complying with the relevant European Union (EU) directive.
