Increased Alzheimer's and dementia risk from antiepileptic drugs, study says
A potentially worrying report has suggested that the use of antiepileptic drugs can increase the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
The study was carried out by the University of Eastern Finland and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases.
"More research should be conducted into the long-term cognitive effects of these drugs, especially among older people"
