ICER issues damning report on AbbVie's endometriosis therapy Orilissa

The Institute for Clinical and Economic Review has issued a final report for AbbVie’s (NYSE: ABBV) Orilissa (elagolix), raising serious questions over the affordability of the product.

AbbVie’s therapy, a treatment for the management of moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis, was subject to a review from the non-profit cost-effectiveness watchdog in July.

That meeting found that “evidence was not adequate to determine whether elagolix offers a net health benefit compared to no treatment.”
