Guido Rasi set to make comeback as head of European Medicines Agency

The European Medicines Agency’s management board has nominated Guido Rasi as the executive director of the Agency. At an extraordinary session on October 1, the board selected Prof Rasi from a shortlist of candidates provided by the European Commission.

Prof Rasi has been invited to give a statement to the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) on October 13, 2015. The appointment of the new executive director will only be made after this session.

Move follows annulment of appointment in 2014
